Kelly Johnson

Kelly Johnson works as a news reporter for the Winonan. Johnson is new to journalism, and news reporting, but is excited to expand her knowledge of this field in order to become a better teacher in the future.


Johnson is currently in her fourth year at Winona State University, and is majoring in Communication Arts and Literature in Teaching and minoring in Communication Studies Teaching, Psychology and Child Advocacy Studies. Johnson’s dream job would be to teach English at the High School level. Alongside writing for the Winonan, Johnson has a work study position in the English department office, as well as at the local company, Legacies. Johnson is also the Vice President of Winona State’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society, and is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Some of her hobbies include reading, fishing, watching true crime documentaries, and listening to music.
