McKenna Scherer
 

McKenna Scherer is working as a features writer for the Winonan. Before writing for the Winonan, Scherer actively participated in the arts and writing programs at Memorial High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, taking first place in the 2017-18 school year Writing with Style contest hosted by author Nickolas Butler.

 

Scherer is currently in her first year at Winona State University and adjusting to life in Minnesota. She is majoring in Mass Communications - Journalism and minoring in Public Relations (at this point). Her dream job would be a position in fashion journalism.

 

Along with working at the Winonan, Scherer is also a member of the Society of Collegiate Journalists and College Democrats. Her hobbies include spending time with friends, reading blogs and watching creators on YouTube, and selling clothing on resell-app, Depop.
