Lauren Saner works as the current copy editor of the Winonan. This is her first year as copy editor, after having been the sports editor for the Winonan during the 2016-17 school year, and the music features writer for the 2015-16 school year. Before working at the Winonan, Saner wrote for her local newspaper in her hometown, Rochester, MN.

Last Wednesday, March 14, Student Senate voted in approval of an 18 percent hike of the student wellness fee in order to hire a new counselor. The hope is that this will help reduce the two-week wait time and provide students with another counselor to speak to.

Students and community members filled East Hall on Saturday, Feb. 24, for the Rock the Dot: Warriorthon fundraiser led by Warriors For The Kids, a Winona State club that raises money and supports Children Miracle Network Hospitals. The 150 registered dancers helped the club raise a total of $31,595.30 for the hospitals.
