The Warrior Entertainment Network hosted the last Kryzsko After Dark of the Fall semester on Friday, Nov. 4. This Kryzsko After Dark (KAD) included an enchanted fantasy fairytale theme with many events to keep students entertained and engaged all throughout the night.

The night featured laser tag and enchanted arts and crafts along with the usual trivia, bingo, karaoke and the infamous free Panda Express.

Laser tag was quite a hit among students, filling up every time slot available. The event was set up in the Kryzsko Ballroom and allowed two teams of six to run around battling one another.

Going along with the enchanted theme, KAD also offered students the opportunity to do some arts and crafts including gnome making and painting mini plant pots.

Per usual, the free Panda Express went quick but that did not stop students from adding to their collection of free items. Trivia produced many winners with teams proving their fairytale, disney and character knowledge. Bingo was held in the Baldwin Lounge and also had many winners clearing the prize table throughout the night. Some Bingo attendees had great things to say about the night.

“My favorite thing about Kryzsko After Dark is that everyone is coming together and they also give out a lot of free stuff,” Amelie Pflamminger, a second-year psychology major and resident assistant, said.

“I really like that it is free even with all the effort they put in and it is a lot of fun,” Emily Sowers, a first-year TESL major, said.

Karaoke also had a great turnout with students singing many songs that brought them back to their childhood like “The Start of Something New” and “Let It Go”. Some could say their singing was quite enchanting.

The night also featured a “mushroom quest” which was a scavenger hunt/riddle to win the grand prize.

Abigail Allen, a fourth-year secondary math education major, is the KAD event director and could be found throughout Kryzsko in her enchanted princess outfit. It was apparent that Allen and her team worked hard to accomplish the enchanted theme on Friday night.

“We decided on the enchanted theme for tonight’s events because a while back someone had mentioned it during a club [KAD] meeting,” Allen said. “Our biggest goal this year is to keep people involved and give students an opportunity to do something else on Friday nights.”

The Warrior Entertainment Network’s Facebook described the night as a “fairytale ending to the semester.” In regards to the success of the night, attendees could definitely say that Allen met her team’s goal and got her happily ever after.
