Sophomore Bri Kearns speaks during the student walk out on Wednesday, March 14 in support of the recent shooting in Parkland, Florida. Kearns organized the event with help from the KEAP Council and had been in contact with local students who expressed interest in the event. The walkout prompted discussion among those present about arming teachers, while other students shared their personal experiences with school shootings. Those who attended the walkout were encouraged to participate in the Winona March For Our Lives on Saturday, March 24 at 4:30 p.m. at the Winona Senior High School.
