Winona State University recently received a threat through one of their social media accounts.

As of now, the threat is still under investigation by Winona State security.

The threat was discovered during a routine check of the university’s account.

An email announcement was sent out to all students and faculty of Winona State, assuring that the threat was not immediate.

Head of security Chris Cichosz and interim director of university marketing and communications Andrea Northam both stated that the threat is still under investigation, but that there is no immediate danger to Winona State.

Neither had further information on the threat.
