On Wednesday Nov. 2, International Student Services hosted an international coffee hour in Gildemeister Hall. This event is typically held on the first Wednesday of each month. The events offer a chance for students to interact with other students from around the world in an educationally-focused environment. Depending on what the students decide, the events can range from very casual to quite organized.

Delia Derner, News Reporter

Delia Derner (she/her/hers) is a News Reporter for the Winonan as of fall 2024. Derner is currently in her second year at Winona State University, majoring in Composite Materials Engineering, with a minor in Polymer Chemistry. 

In addition to working for the Winonan, Derner is also a member of the philosophy club. She is also a student worker for COMTEC in the engineering labs. 

Outside of school, Derner loves to read. She is a fan of Brandon Sanderson’s books and is currently on book two of the Stormlight Archives. She also enjoys spending time with her friends watching movies, thrifting and going on weird side quests.
