My fellow Warriors,

For the last two years I, Charles Roberts, have had the privilege and honor of serving your as Student Senator and ASO Director. Now I am asking for your vote in becoming the Student Senate Treasurer.

I have served as a member of both the Student Activity Fund Committee, which helps to fund many of the awesome club activities, and the Student Fee Management committee, which oversees and approves any change in the student fees that we pay here at WSU.

I have been appointed as the Director of the Alliance of Student Organizations (ASO).  As ASO Director I have worked with all of the student clubs here on campus and have developed a strong understanding of what their needs are.

Through my years of service I have built an extensive knowledge of the WSU administration and inner workings of the university. I have a deep understanding of how the University works and can use that knowledge to help further student causes.

Over the past year, your Student Senate has worked hard to advocate for student needs. We have passed resolutions in support of everything from the on campus pharmacy, the KEAP diversity resource center and we have worked to help make both blue books and scantrons free and provided by the university.

But there is still work to be done.  We must continue to fight for the best possible Winona State. We must work to ensure that OUR money is being spent to the maximum benefit of us the students. Without us, Winona State would simply cease to be.

Here is what it comes downs to. We, the students, pay thousands of dollars to attend this great institution so why should we have a large say in how our money is used? We need someone with a strong understanding of not only your student senate, your club, or the university. We need someone with vision. We need someone who can lead.

And that is why I need your vote. As your treasurer I will use my knowledge and experience to benefit all us Warriors. To make our needs heard. To make this university, our university, the best possible place it can be.
