Conrad Valdez, Sports Reporter & Photographer
Conrad Valdez (he/him) is a photographer and writer for the Winonan as of Fall 2024. Valdez is currently a first year student from Palatine, Illinois and chose Winona State University after having the opportunity to become the Rugby team’s photographer. He plans to major in Creative Digital Media with a minor in Sports Business.
Valdez is very passionate about sports as he loves photographing them. His favorite sports are lacrosse and basketball. Besides taking photos for those sports, Valdez is planning on joining the club lacrosse team here at WSU.
Out of university, Valdez loves to play the bass guitar, as he started a band with a few friends on campus. He loves listening to music as his favorite bands are Pearl Jam, Shinedown, Mother Love Bone, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden. Valdez dreams of one day photographing a Pearl Jam concert and becoming a tour photographer for a band. Other than music, he loves to make graphic design posters, digital art, and plan creative photoshoots with friends.
