Lucy Severson, Features Reporter
Lucy Severson (she/her/hers) is a fourth year at Winona State majoring in Film Studies and minoring in creative writing. She also works as a Marketing and Communications assistant where she writes blogs about WSU faculty and alumni, and also works as a social media intern for the Frozen River Film Festival.
Lucy pursued journalism during her first year at Hamline University where she news reported and illustrated for the Oracle. Continuing her roles as an illustrator and news reporter upon transferring to Winona State and joining the Winonan in 2023, she is back as a features reporter after a brief hiatus.
Outside of school, Lucy loves creating films, writing short stories, not so short stories, and poems. Her favorite pass times are befriending stray cats, watching Gilmore Girls, drawing pictures, and reading formulaic romance novels.
