On Wednesday Nov. 2, International Student Services hosted an international coffee hour in Gildemeister Hall. This event is typically held on the first Wednesday of each month. The events offer a chance for students to interact with other students from around the world in an educationally-focused environment. Depending on what the students decide, the events can range from very casual to quite organized.

The Freshman 15 – Factual or Fatphobia?
During Thursday night on Oct. 24., the amount of rain was so drastic, an email was sent out to students about relocating their cars in the gravel lot due to ankle high rain fall. Students stood outside of the Quad and Prentiss- Lucas hoping to get soaked from cars passing by. The next day, the volleyball courts in front of PL are proof of that. Students have called it the ‘PL Pool”.

Mitchell Breuer, Editor-In-Chief

Mitchell Breuer works as the Editor-in-Chief for the Winonan, in addition to occasionally covering a variety of sports for the paper.

Breuer is currently in his fifth year of college, with this being his third year at Winona State after spending two years at Rochester Community and Technical College. He is majoring in in Mass Communications – Journalism, and minors in Public Relations. In addition to his work for the Winonan, Breuer also contributes to the NASCAR news site, Popular Speed, where writes about the happenings in the sports top three series. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and watching his favorite sports teams, the Atlanta Falcons and Boston Celtics.
