In the know with Student Senate

Ben Strand/Winonan

Winona State University Student Senate had their first official meeting last Thursday, Sept. 3.

The RE-Initiative task force presented a proposal for funding requests for homecoming cups. They want to purchase 1600 cups to distribute to popular homecoming places, like Market and Gabby’s Bar & Lounge. The cup will have a slogan that says “See, Think, React” to encourage bystander intervention.

The task force said the goal of cups is to create an inclusive and safe environment that will have a lasting impact and effect on Winona.
